Marvin Bowser Photography presents Color, Light, Movement

I selected images from Washington DC and to far flung places that quench my thirst for Color, Light, Movement - for a while. My first showing of the collection was an the exquisite home of good friends in early June. The second showing will be at Art in the Afternoon, where I team up with fellow Ward 7 artist, the fabulous, Deirdra Bell. See the catalog below. To view my online portfolio, click here.

What do Sam Gilliam and Marvin Bowser have in common?

I had a ball working with Carol Rhodes Dyson, Busboys and Poets Curator in Residence, to select the 19 pieces from my portfolio.   We hung on April 20th at the Takoma Busboys.

All pieces in the collection are mounted 17” x 14” in custom black wooden frames with 8ply mats. Images are from my travels around the world. The show will be up until August 26th. Please email me for more information or stop by Bus Boys at 235 Carroll St NW, WDC, 20012 for a meal and to check me out!

Dawn to Sunset - Color, Shadow and Light

I created Dawn to Sunset collection for a show I did with fellow artist, Hernan Gigena April 3rd at the Brixton. About 100 people turned out for the spring-themed happy hour which also raised funds for the Wanda Alston Foundation. The collection, Dawn to Sunset, consists of twenty 17” x 14” pieces in custom black wooden frames and 8ply mats like Dragon Fly and Lotus Bud, pictured here.
